Devine Police Report July 21-27

July 21
8:58 PM – Argument between mother and son in Colonial Mobile Home Park about school supplies. All okay.
9:35 PM – Hit and run of a parked vehicle.
9:35 PM – Complainant at McDonalds reported a physical disturbance between himself and a male subject.
10:24 PM – Complainant in the 1100 block of E. Warhorse Dr. reported hearing something hitting the fence and thought it could be BBs. Spoke with neighbor and all was fine. Caller requested extra patrol at night.
10:48 PM – Complainant at EJ’s Drive Thru reported a male subject in blue jeans and a green shirt acting suspiciously. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate. All was okay.
July 22
1:00 PM – Natalia PD officer requested officer assistance in the 21000 block of FM 471 S. due to an unruly family. Officer made location and provided cover and support.
4:45 PM – Complainant at PFC Finance reported a suspicious male subject walking into the location and looking at the camera station. The subject was gone before arrival.
July 23
7:45 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a wrecked vehicle on IH-35. Driver had severe facial injuries and was intoxicated. DPS sent driver with EMS and towed the car.
10:34 AM – Officer dispatched to the scene of a minor accident on SB IH-35 near mile marker 121. Officer observed occupants’ furtive movement, investigated, and found narcotics. The male driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance PG3 less than 28G (pills) and was jailed. The female passenger was found to be in possession of a controlled substance PG1 less than 1G (heroin) and was jailed. Officer assisted by DPS.
12:35 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to an old white dually driving all over the road. Unable to locate.
9:42 PM – A male subject parked his vehicle in the 1700 block of Libold Dr. and appeared to be going house to house. Unable to locate.
July 24
11:50 AM – Officer removed stopped vehicle from the roadway in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave.
12:53 PM – Vehicle at Walmart struck two parked vehicles and fled.
3:43 PM – Complainant reported an 18-wheeler broken down on IH-35. Unable to locate.
6:01 PM – Complainant reported a black Chevy Silverado driving recklessly on IH-35 SB. Unable to locate.
7:16 PM – Complainant on IH-35 SB reported a white Dodge Stratus with the rear bumper falling off and a female passenger opening the door while the vehicle was moving, possibly trying to get out. Unable to locate.
8:08 PM – Complainant at Dollar Tree reported a blue Tahoe occupied by a female subject parked by the back door. Subject departed prior to officers’ arrival. Officer made contact in the 500 block of W. Park Ave.; all was okay.
11:48 PM – Complainant on IH-35 SB reported a white Mercedes SUV driving recklessly and exited at 173. Unable to locate.
July 25
1:00 AM – Complainant in the 800 block of Flores Dr. reported a male subject driving around on a four-wheeler, and a maroon four-door vehicle circling the area. Complainant was also concerned because an unknown person tried to get into their mother’s house at the location the past two evenings.
3:55 AM – Officer spoke to two subjects walking in the 200 block of W. College Ave. The subjects were ID’d; all was okay.
8:45 AM – Complainant at Walmart advised he noticed a small dent on his hood while parked at the store. Possible truck backed up.
8:50 AM – Complainant reported the burglary of a habitation in the 2000 block of Hwy. 173. Tools were stolen. Officer referred the complainant to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
2:39 PM – Complainant on Hwy. 173 reported a brown 18-wheeler all over the road. Unable to locate.
3:09 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Faye Ave. reported a verbal disturbance between herself and her daughter. The complainant wanted her adult daughter to leave her residence. The daughter was given a ride to her aunt’s residence in the 100 block of S. Jamison Dr.
6:42 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Live Oak Dr. wanted a male subject to leave the location. The male subject agreed to leave for the day.
July 26
5:00 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of E. Park Ave. reported a male subject standing near the building shirtless. Officer made contact; all was okay.
4:24 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Jamison Dr. advised a weed eater and pole saw were missing out of the back of a parked truck.
4:40 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Washington Dr. spoke to officers regarding possible misappropriation of funds from Devine Youth Sports. Under investigation.
10:03 PM – A motorcycle was observed committing a traffic violation in the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. The motorcycle failed to stop and was pursued to CR 665.
11:36 PM – Complainant reported several juveniles outside being loud and possibly smoking. No one was outside upon officer’s arrival, but officer spoke with homeowner.
July 27
3:44 AM – Complainant in the 800 block of Flores reported someone in the yard who jumped the fence, got into a vehicle, and left the residence. Unable to locate suspect and vehicle. Officer assisted by MCSO deputy.
