Devine Police Report July 16-21

July 16
8:40 AM – Gray F-250 off roadway right before Hwy. 132 bridge. Construction worker’s personal vehicle working on Hwy. 132 bridge.
12:15 PM – Traffic lights not working properly on S. Windy Knoll Dr. Officer monitored; all was okay.
6:50 PM – Officer dispatched to Hwy. 173 S. in reference to a red pickup brake checking other vehicles while coming from Frio County; unable to locate.
6:56 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a white semi truck failing to maintain a single lane.
7:28 PM – Officers dispatched to the 1100 block of Warhorse Dr. in reference to a blue Ford Taurus seen going up and down the road. Subject was contacted and found to be lost.
8:50 PM – Complainant wanted officers to know that juveniles on bikes in the 600 block of W. Park Ave. were “throwing gang signs.”
10:03 PM – Complainant upset about a large truck following too closely on the roadway in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave.
10:45 PM – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of CR 664 to assist Medina County Sheriff’s Office with a male subject barricaded inside a shed with weapons. Complainant stated he was under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine.
July 17
12:47 PM – Pursuit coming in from Frio Co. Vehicle bailout prior to entering city limits.
1:50 PM – Officers served warrant on female subject who had an active arrest warrant for fraud. The subject was jailed.
3:50 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. A male subject was cited and released for driving without a license.
7:04 PM – Complainant advised she was assaulted by her roommate. Charges pending.
7:11 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to 18-wheelers becoming a traffic hazard. No violations upon officer’s arrival.
11:08 PM – Vehicle parked at location in the 300 block of W. Hondo Ave. Driver was ID’d; all was okay.
July 18
2:42 AM – Officers assisted the MCSO with a harassment call in the 700 block of CR 6612.
3:37 PM – Officer set up for spike deployment on Hwy. 173 in reference to a chase coming into the city. Vehicle turned around and chase ended near Hondo on Hwy. 173.
4:03 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of W. Moore Ave. did not want her husband on location. Subject left location; all was okay.
4:18 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported a customer left phone in restroom and it went missing on July 17 between 9:00 PM and 9:45 PM. Phone recovered by police.
5:23 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a truck tractor all over the roadway; unable to locate.
6:30 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr. in reference to 18-wheelers causing a traffic hazard. Some clear upon arrival.
6:36 PM – Managers at a store in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. felt that a male subject was attempting or possibly shoplifting; all was okay.
7:46 PM – Complainant reported a male subject seen walking around building and vehicles in the 200 block of W. College Ave.; all was okay.
July 19
1:25 AM – Complainant in the 800 block of Flores reported a vehicle circling the area and blacking out; unable to locate.
3:11 AM – A male subject was walking around the area of the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. and asked to leave.
4:30 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of Zig Zag Ave. advised a Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt and black shorts was in the area all day.
4:37 PM – Neighbor struck another neighbor’s vehicle in the 500 block of Fullerton Ave.
5:17 PM – A female subject at Walmart was jailed for shoplifting $503.45 in merchandise.
8:17 PM – Complainant at Walmart advised two individuals walked out of store with merchandise and departed in a silver SUV.
8:38 PM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male subject in the area waiting for a ride. He went back to his residence.
9:38 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of Transportation Dr. for a male subject yelling. No contact was made.
10:20 PM – Complainant reported a male subject making contact with store owner in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. to advise him that he did not break into his store. Statement was taken from subject.
10:38 PM – Complainant reported a brother and sister fighting over the phone and the brother possibly beating the sister’s best friend. Parties were separated for the night.
July 20
10:24 AM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 SB access road in reference to a small gray pickup truck that stalled out.
1:16 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Hickory Hwy. reported a black Chrysler parked in the area. Officer made contact; a couple was waiting for car to be worked on at automotive shop.
2:52 PM – Officer dispatched to Oak Hill Dr. for multiple semi trucks parked the wrong direction.
July 21
5:47 AM – Officer dispatched to the 1100 block of Libold Dr. in reference to a white Charger blacked out and backed far into a field. Homeowner advised it belongs to her friend; all was okay.
