Devine Police Report Jan. 24-31

Jan. 24
10:00 PM – Officers made contact with one party at Walmart regarding a road rage incident that occurred just north of Devine on Hwy. 173. The driver was identified.
Jan. 25
1:40 AM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of W. Moore Ave. in reference to loud music. Officers made contact with homeowner and advised turning down the music. All was okay.
5:10 PM – Complainant reported an unknown vehicle striking and damaging a stop sign on Tilley Dr.
7:31 PM – A welder valued at $699.99 was stolen from Tractor Supply by a male and female on Jan. 24.
7:34 PM – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of N. Teel Dr. in reference to a vehicle parking in the parking lot and the driver leaving the vehicle. The vehicle was towed away by the owner before officer’s arrival.
7:34 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1200 block of W. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male subject trying to sell solar energy. Area searched, unable to locate.
9:30 PM – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to complainant hearing voices outside the residence and smelling the odor of marijuana. Area searched, unable to locate.
Jan. 26
2:31 AM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of Live Oak Dr. in reference to a male subject on location who was asleep on the complainant’s couch. The male subject was identified as complainant’s brother, who wanted him to leave. The male subject was given a courtesy ride home by a family member.
3:28 AM – Officers investigated a vehicle stopped at an intersection on Lee Dr. with two male subjects sleeping inside. One male subject was jailed for possession of marijuana, while the other was jailed for public intoxication.
3:30 PM – Report of a male wearing a navy blue jacket with a bandana in the area of Devine Middle School who appeared suspicious. Unable to locate.
3:40 PM – A male subject wearing a navy blue jacket was passed out on the side of the road in the 1000 block of CR 5710. Officers requested Medina County Deputy to make location, who took the subject to jail for public intoxication.
8:35 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. Hondo Ave. The female driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
Jan. 27
1:33 AM – Officers dispatched to help MCSO locate a red Ford F-350. It was located in the 500 block of S. Teel Dr.
1:45 AM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of E. Coker Dr. in reference to a suspicious vehicle near the roadway. All was okay.
2:07 AM – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of Libold Dr. in reference to a truck near the roadway with a male subject near the truck. All was okay, the subject was visiting a friend.
2:40 AM – A blue Chevy pickup truck was left abandoned in the roadway and ditch. Friendly Glenn’s picked up the truck.
9:47 AM – Verbal disturbance between female complainant and her boyfriend in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. Parties separated.
8:52 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of E. Hondo Ave. The female driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
Jan. 28
1:37 AM – Officer assisted Natalia PD with a physical disturbance in the 600 block of Miller St. A female subject was assaulted by a male subject, who was arrested.
2:30 PM – Complainant advised his two children found a Christmas card with a $50 check inside. The check has been canceled and replaced.
7:17 PM – Officers dispatched to Tractor Supply in reference to a male and female in the store who committed theft. The subjects left the location as officer arrived. A traffic stop was made, and one subject was cited and released for theft under $100.

5:08 PM – Officer assisted with traffic control for a major accident on FM 463.

5:50 PM – A 2014 Chevy truck lost control on IH-35 and hit two trucks.

12:30 AM – Officer assisted MCSO Deputy with an 18-wheeler parked on the side of the road in the 700 block of Hwy. 132.
