Devine Police Report Dec. 6-12

Dec. 6
2:40 AM – Report of large fire near 35 on Hwy. 173. Unknown what was on fire. Dispatch requested PD to make location. Deputies up north. All was okay; brush fire that rekindled from control burn. Homeowner not on location.
9:35 AM – Debris on the eastbound lanes of E. Hondo Ave in the middle of the road. Item was a hydraulic machine being secured with a Bobcat.
2:30 PM – Manager of store in the 100 block of E. Colonial Pkwy. reported a theft valued at $250. The Medina County Sheriff’s Office will drive near residence in Twin Lakes.
2:33 PM – Complainant reported a male in a black Cadillac driving around possibly under the influence. Vehicle seen parked at his residence in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave.
2:43 PM – Complainant advised there are a lot of vehicles speeding and running stop signs on Upson Dr. from 5:30 am to 7:30 am and 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
5:38 PM – White dually unable to maintain lines in the 1100 block of W. Hondo Ave; unable to locate.
Dec. 7
12:00 AM – Officer conducted a traffic stop on a male juvenile, who was turned over to his mother.
8:55 AM – Officers dispatched in reference to 18-wheelers parked on Oak Hill Dr. going into Walmart that were obstructing traffic. Trucks were moved; all was okay.
9:20 AM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a blue Chevy pickup travelling at a high rate of speed; unable to locate.
3:24 PM – Complainant reported he left his truck parked at the park and ride on IH-35 NB at around 5:00 am, and when he came back from work it was gone. Truck was a white Ranger extended cab and was entered into TCIC/NCIC. Truck recovered in San Antonio.
Dec. 8
12:15 AM – Officer assisted a Medina County deputy with an intoxicated male laying in the roadway in the 800 block of CR 773.
1:20 AM – Vehicle stopped for defective equipment on the IH-35 northbound access road near mile marker 123. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
1:53 AM – Officer assisted DPS with an accident with a deer in the 200 block of Jay Dr. The deer was moved off the roadway. Trooper just wanted documentation.
4:05 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Crouch Ave. stated she could hear knocking outside her house. Everything was okay on location.
8:20 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. advised that a male subject was intoxicated and refusing to leave her residence. The male left before officers arrived.
Dec. 9
7:39 AM – Officer dispatched to Jay Dr. in reference to a Ford sedan driving slowly; unable to locate.
12:26 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Live Oak advised she heard loud knocking from the back of the house. Area checked; all was okay.
5:45 PM – Officer dispatched to Thompson Dr. in reference to several gunshots in the area. Area searched; unable to locate.
6:30 PM – Officer dispatched to E. Hondo Ave. in reference to lights being out. Traffic control was conducted.
10:03 PM – Officer notified to a pursuit coming from Frio County.
Dec. 10
3:20 PM – Complainant reported a white 18-wheeler blocking traffic on IH-35; unable to locate.
4:35 PM – Complainant reported a lost wallet that was last used at several stores in Devine.
Dec. 11
7:28 AM – Report of glass in roadway on Howard Wallace. Public Works was notified and the debris was removed.
11:34 AM – Officer dispatched to Walmart for a green dually that had been parked in the parking lot for two weeks. Vehicle was confirmed stolen.
Dec. 12
5:25 PM – Officers dispatched to the 900 block of Hondo Ave. in reference to an accident. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
