Devine Police Report Aug. 30-Sept. 5

Aug. 30
5:45 PM – Owner of business in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. reported the possible theft of an impact drill and other miscellaneous items. Officers will follow up on Aug. 31 for more info on a 1/2 inch impact wrench valued at $42.99. Owner will download video and needs to download video from the business next door.
8:55 PM – A male subject in the 400 block of Karen was jailed for assault – family violence.
Aug. 31
8:40 AM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of N. Teel Dr. in reference to a male subject feeling disoriented. All was okay; the male was a patient of Sterling. A courtesy ride was given to the subject, who was released to staff.
2:15 PM – Complainant advised a suspicious male and female were arguing by their vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. Officers made location; unable to locate.
2:40 PM – A vehicle ran out of gas on IH-35 SB. The vehicle was moved off the roadway.
Sept. 1
8:37 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. reported the burglary of a vehicle. Complainant said miscellaneous tools were taken out of his truck between 1:30 PM and 8:30 AM. Officers reviewed cameras.
8:44 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a stalled vehicle in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle was pushed off the roadway.
10:45 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of W. Dilley Ave. heard a noise outside the window. Officers checked the area; all was okay. Assisted by deputy from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
Sept. 2
12:54 AM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. was having a disturbance with a male subject because the male subject’s truck had broken down and he was trying to leave it in the complainant’s driveway. The vehicle was towed to the owner’s residence.
2:15 AM – Officer investigated a suspicious vehicle parked on location in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. The family was taking a nap because the father was getting sleepy and they were halfway to their destination.
10:34 AM – A male subject in the 1000 block of W. Malone Dr. was burning in his front yard. Subject was asked to put out the fire, which he did. All was okay.
11:23 AM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. in reference to a male subject that management did not want on the location.
Sept. 3
11:28 AM – Broadcast of two reckless drivers on IH-35. Officer made contact with both vehicles and stood by for a MCSO deputy to make location.
12:56 PM – Train traffic crossing arms were down at the crossing on E. Herring Ave. Union Pacific Railroad was notified.
9:49 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of Upson Dr. stated she observed two juveniles walking down the street and it appeared they were looking into cars. Requested a patrol by.
11:25 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Djon St. was dropped off at his residence and observed a heavyset Hispanic male walking away from his vehicle and driving off in a black Ford. The ignition on complainant’s car was tampered with.
Sept. 4
11:18 AM – Caller advised a dark, older model pickup truck was parked behind the motor bank in the 200 block of Hwy. 132 N. The driver was resting and was not aware he parked on private property.
Sept. 5
1:32 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. advised she heard someone pulling and turning the front door handle and then her outside dog started barking. Officers searched the area; all was okay.
8:05 AM – Complainant on Howard Wallace reported two juveniles and a black vehicle parked outside the home. Officer made location and made contact with the juveniles. Everything was okay; they were locked out and waiting for the arrival of a parent.
2:16 PM – Caller advised she saw three females walking on Hondo Ave. going business to business selling makeup. Unable to locate; no other calls were made.
5:15 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Fullerton Dr. and her son’s ex-girlfriend got into a verbal argument. The ex-girlfriend left prior to officers’ arrival. All was okay.
8:25 PM – Verbal dispute in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. between two adult females.
