Devine Police Report April 6-12


April 6
2:06 PM – Officer dispatched for people burning trash in the 400 block of Lee Dr. Officer made location and talked to residents. No action taken.
2:49 PM – Officers assisted Medina County Sheriff’s Office with search for a maroon Jeep in the area of Hwy. 132 N. Unable to locate.
4:02 PM – Theft of a cell phone charger from Walmart.
4:02 PM – Set of keys left at register at Walmart.
4:43 PM – Complainant reported a white Mustang and a red Mustang racing on IH-35 NB and forcing people off the roadway. Officer made location.
5:35 PM – The female driver of a vehicle involved in an accident in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. was found to have an outstanding warrant from Medina County for possession of a dangerous drug and was jailed.
6:37 PM – Complainant requested assistance with a disabled vehicle on IH-35 NB near mile marker 121.
7:06 PM – Off-duty trooper advised of possible assault on IH-35 access road. Unable to locate.
April 7
3:25 AM – Officer assisted MCSO deputy with physical disturbance between husband and wife in the 1000 block of CR 5710.
9:24 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. Officer detected an odor of marijuana. Less than 2oz. of marijuana was located. Both the female driver and female passenger will be filed on for possession of marijuana.
10:57 AM – Officer assisted MCSO deputy with a physical disturbance in the 200 block of CR 7710.
7:44 PM – Officers went to the 800 block of Hwy. 173 in reference to a child that was bitten in the face by a dog. Officers stayed on scene until MCSO deputy made location. All was okay.
April 8
2:15 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Renfro Dr. reported people running in the area with flashlights. It appeared to be a group of approximately 6 to 8 young teenagers. Officers checked the area; unable to locate.
5:52 AM – Complainant reported a white Chevy pickup traveling at a high rate of speed. Unable to locate; call forwarded to Frio County.
12:12 PM – A female subject at a store in the 100 block of Dixon Dr. was cited and released for using foul and obscene language toward store employees. The subject was also cited and released for theft <$100.
10:52 PM – Mutual physical altercation between two females in the 400 block of Griffin Dr. Parties separated for the night.
April 9
8:09 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Tehama Ave. reported large amounts of broken glass on roadway every Sunday morning, and that drivers need to drive on the grass to get through the street to avoid getting a flat tire.
9:38 PM – Verbal dispute between a female subject and a male subject in the 400 block of Monticello. Parties separated for the night.
10:34 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of Hickory Hwy. advised a male on location was breaking things. Complainant was not on location and there were no visible signs of damage. The male departed the location.
April 10
11:40 AM – Complainant reported that a brown leather bifold Fossil wallet was lost. Last used April 9 at Subway.
1:56 PM – Officer discovered a female lying near the bushes in the 200 block of Colonial Pkwy. All was okay.
3:26 PM – Complainant reported a white male wearing a puffy black jacket who was walking close to the roadway. Unable to locate.
3:38 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of N. Teel Dr. reported a gray 4-door car on location acting suspicious with the ATM card machine. Unable to locate.
8:56 PM – Report of a female walking in the middle of IH-35. Unable to locate.
9:54 PM – Frio County requested assistance in locating a white Ford 4-door involved in suspicious activity at Road Ranger Travel Center off IH-35 and Hwy. 57. Unable to locate.
10:33 PM – A male subject was causing a disturbance and trying to kick in a door in the 400 block of Hickory Hwy.
April 11
7:49 AM – A male subject was sleeping on the ground in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The subject was identified by police and transported to NB rest area.
11:19 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Malone Dr. reported that several guns had been taken from the residence. Believed to be an acquaintance that had permission to be there.
2:00 PM – Complainant reported a red F-150 truck exited 122 and was tailgating all over the roadway. Unable to locate.
April 12
10:15 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of W. Coker Ave. called police in reference to a wrecker truck that was parked near her property.
