Do you have an outstanding ticket? Devine PD took dozens of subjects into custody and brought them before a judge this past Friday in one of several warrant roundups they’ll be conducting.
“Prior to this Friday, we had just short of 1,500 people on our warrant list, so we’ll be doing another one soon,” said Lieutenant Chris Andrews.
Warrant round ups are conducted for any Class C misdemeanor ranging from speeding to possession of drugs, so make sure you resolve your tickets quickly.
“When you get a speeding ticket for example, a court date is usually set within 45 days, and a warrant is issued if it hasn’t been resolved by that court date by either appearing in court or paying the fine ahead of time,” Andrews adds.
