Devine holds own at Debbie Cook Tennis Classic

At the Debbie Cook Classic in Buda/Lehman, the Devine Varsity Tennis brought home 3 wins and a consolation on March 26th.
“We were a little shorthanded due to all the other events going on today, but the team still performed and represented at a high level against very good competition,” said Coach Mark Feltner
Cameron English/Kelsey Dishman won 2nd in A girls doubles 8-4-6-3, 6-4-6-3, 6-4-0-6, 0-6. Kylee Saunders/Josette Villanueva won 2nd in B girls doubles 6-0, 7-5-3-6, 4-6. Aidan Hildenbrand/Juan Lopez won 2nd in B boys doubles 6-1, 5-7, 10-6-1-6, 4-6—-8-5. Isabella Elias won B girls consolation in singles 5-8-8-4-8-0. Karma Herring competed in A girls singles 4-8-8-6-6-8. Savanna Pequeno/Justin Rozier competed in B mixed doubles3-8-8-1-1-8.
The tennis players will head down to Corpus Christi tomorrow to compete at Tuloso Midway. On April 12-13, they will play in Somerset for district.
