Devine Health and Rehab filled over 200 backpacks

Devine Health and Rehab held a “Fill Your Back Pack” Carnival on August 16th to help local students get ready for school. They had all kinds of games and food for those who attended, as well as giving away school supplies. “We had a great turn out and were able to fill over 200 backpacks with supplies with the help of the staff, their families and all the local community support,” stated Pamela Wells, Administrator. “We had a box in our lobby that was filled with supplies by family members and visitors of Devine Health and Rehab.”
This event was a huge success due to all the help that was received from the area. Devine Health and Rehab had staff and staff families help throughout the event with the booths. Brodie Breiten with Kindred Hospice and Juan Davila with River City Hospice helped manage a booth. Also Security Finance managed a booth with popcorn and supplies.
Free haircuts were given to the first 25 kids in attendance by Esmeralda Ramirez who donated her time. Christopher Flores with Extreme Party Rentals donated the jumping castle and dunking booth.
