Cruz M. Pena, Jr. age 74 of Devine, Texas passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Cruz and Petra (Mendez) Pena; daughter, Guadalupe Gutierrez; brother, Florencio (Lencho) Pena; sisters, Lupe Garcia, Maria Teresa Aguilar, and Maria Ignacia Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Frances S. Pena; sons, Jose Cruz Pena, Jesus Pena, and John Anthony Pena; daughters, Maria Stanley and husband Scott, Camila Pena Vasquez and husband Jimmy, and Frances Joy Hinojosa and husband Enrique; brother, Pedro Pena and wife Maria; sisters, Marcos Moncada and husband Abel, and Martha Rendon and husband Alejandro; eighteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
