Elizabeth Word Adkisson and husband Bill are looking forward to carrying on family traditions in a home that was built 104 years ago by Elizabeth’s great-grandfather in 1916 and has remained in the family ever since.

Vera honored for reaching milestone birthday

Ofilia G. Vera was honored for reaching her 100th birthday by Mayor Tommy Ortiz during the Natalia City Council meeting on January 27. Vera turned 100 on Jan. 27, and also received proclamations honoring her from Texas State Representative Andrew Murr, Texas State Senator Pete Flores, and US Congressman Will Hurd. Pictured with Vera are her granddaughter, Councilwoman Selica Vera, and Mayor Ortiz.
