Caryn Elaine Briggs passed away on January 11, 2021, in Killeen, Texas. Caryn was born on May 16, 1969 in Jourdanton, Texas.
Caryn was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, J.R. and Eunice Shoemake (Sadler) of Kyote, Texas, maternal grandfather H.B. (Sonny) Foulds of Poteet; aunts Nadine Hargrove (Shoemake), Wanda McDonald (Shoemake) both of Uvalde, Texas; and an uncle, H.B. (Rooster) Foulds of Jourdanton, Texas.
Caryn is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Elaine Shoemake, her grandmother, Bernice Jordon, sisters, Sherry (Shoemake) Head (Matt), Amber Shoemake-Isbell (Brent), her brothers, Rick Walker (Barbara) of Mountain Home, Lyndon Hoch, San Antonio. Caryn also leaves behind her daughter Chelci Keller (Jordon), son, Weldon Briggs of Ovilla. She is survived by her grandchildren Marq, Blakelynn, Corra, and Zoie, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20 at 2:00 pm at the Brummett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Texas chapter of the ALS Foundation at https://www.alstexas.org/donate/
