The Devine Area Chamber of Commerce invites all School-age students of Devine to participate in the Youth Art Exhibit at the Devine Cactus Fall Festival on Nov. 6, 2021, at the Devine Community Center.
Artwork will be displayed inside the Community Center during the Festival along with historical and welcome displays for visitors to view & enjoy.
For: School-Age Youth of Devine (Exhibit only, no judging, no prizes) (Two divisions: Elementary & Secondary)
Theme: ‘Devine Cactus Fall Festival’ with a focus on Cactus pictures, drawings, etc.
Goal: To inspire local Youth participation in the Arts in Devine’s largest community event.
*ELEMENTARY DIVISION – Pre-school – 5th grade – Elementary “Springboard” of ideas: class mural; individual artwork put together as a collage or other way, cactus scene, drawing/coloring/painting of a single cactus plant or grouping, color-cut-paste cactus pictures, etc.
*SECONDARY DIVISION – Grades 6-12 – Secondary “Springboard” of ideas: class/individual mural; individual artwork put together as a collage or other way, cactus scene, drawing/coloring/painting of a single cactus plant or grouping, Maps, String Art, Tri-board art display, photo montage, 3-D Artwork, may include writing.
*Some classes in the Devine are already signed up to participate, so check with your teacher before signing up. Open to all school-age youth in Devine – public, private, & homeschooled.
