Bus passenger arrested after knife altercation

DEVINE–A busload of passengers traveling north on I-35 were brought to a scary halt as they came through Devine this past Friday, December 31 around noon. A passenger, who was on the Greyhound bus, reportedly got into an altercation with the bus driver, who then pulled over in Devine where further incidents occurred.
9-1-1 dispatchers were contacted and multiple agencies responded for an altercation involving a knife.
“[The suspect] and the bus driver were in a verbal altercation. When the bus came to a stop, another passenger became involved. Three witnesses stated that the suspect pulled out a pocket knife and threatened him,” stated Sheriff Randy Brown.
The suspect passenger, a 30-year-old male subject of Laredo was arrested and booked into Medina County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
