It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Beatriz Maldonado Hernandez, beloved mother, grandmother, Nana and cherished friend, who left this world on May 27, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on January 6, 1943, Beatriz graced us with her wisdom and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Beatriz retired after 42 and a half years of honorable civil service specializing in Aerospace fuels for the NASA shuttle launches, a milestone that reflects her lifelong commitment to serving others and her country. She was a devoted family woman, known for her unwavering love and faithfulness. Her life revolved around her three beloved children Rene Hernandez, Raul Hernandez (Monica), Rubi Ruth (Jason) and six grandchildren Andre, Joshua, Isaiah, Alina, Olivia and Christian. She nurtured them with immense love, grace and compassion. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren Adonis, Avery, Maverick and Maliek. The essence of Beatriz was rooted in her family, where she found her greatest joy through simple moments of laughter, storytelling, traveling and treasured gatherings.
With a spirit that radiated kindness, Beatriz embraced life passionately, always ready to travel new paths, explore new horizons and enjoy moments of pampering that brought her delight. Her legacy is woven through a tapestry of fond memories and shared experiences that will forever resonate with her loved ones.
Funeral services and ceremonies will be held for those those who wish to honor Beatriz’s memory and celebrate her extraordinary life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of her life and spirit, honoring the remarkable woman she was.
A public viewing will be held at Primrose Funeral Services in Lytle, Texas on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. A Rosary will be recited at 11 A.M. Mass will follow in St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Lytle at 12 P.M. After services, Beatriz will be laid to rest where she will join her husband Clemente Hernandez at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery on Colonial Parkway in Devine, Texas, providing a final resting place surrounded by the beauty she always cherished.
In the hearts of her family and friends, Beatriz will continue to shine brightly forever, a gentle reminder of the beauty found in love, togetherness and the remarkable strength and resilience that defined her spirit.
