Barbara Wadsworth McCarty, age 84 of Devine, Texas passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 in Castroville, Texas.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from high school in Cotulla, Texas in 1951. She lived in Devine for the last 54 years. She was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother who welcomed and care for all who came into her home. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Captain Dean Amick Wadsworth, and Jake McCarty; parents, Paul Temple and Georgie (Conover) Harrison.
She is survived by her sons, Doug Wadsworth and wife, Cindy and Kenny Wadsworth and wife Elizabeth Ann; daughters, Deborah Schneider and husband Albert and Kristy Chant and husband Todd; brother, Ronald Harrison and wife Jane and nephew, Scott Harrison;grandchildren, Lee Wadsworth, Anna Wadsworth, Thomas Schneider, Russell Schneider, Vanessa Alvarado, Cole Wadsworth, Millie Goetz, Dean Wadsworth, Kaitlyn Chant, Rachel Hilburn, and Gwynn Chant; twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Thursday, May 24, 2018 in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine with interment to follow in the Moore Memorial Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at the Hurley Funeral Home in Devine prior to the service.
