The Lady Pirates have won back-to-back district titles for the first time in the school’s history! Coach Lori Wilson is extremely proud of how well her team has competed this year and looks forward to a long district run.
“They have worked so hard and we have battled through some ups and downs but they never gave up, it only brought them back stronger. I am so happy and proud of how they have represented Lytle this far. Now it is time to reach another goal to make it past the first round of playoffs! Looking back at the history of the girls program the previous team in 2008-09 went back to back but shared the Title as Co-Champs so these young ladies along with last year’s group made history in 2022! If you see the girls please let them know how proud you are of them,” added Coach Wilson.
Elsewhere in the district, Karnes City took on Columbus, Poth faced Industrial and Cotulla played Palacios.
