Arabians win first district game

After the long bus ride down to Carrizo Springs, the Arabians had to work hard against the Lady Wild Cats. In their first district game, the Arabians were able to get the win after four sets. Winning their first set 25-19, the Arabians struggled in the second set to get the points and lost 20-25. Undiscouraged by that loss, the Arabians turned set three around and won 25-16 and sealed the win in the fourth set with a 25-19 win. This victory is a great way to start the district season. The Arabians will be on the road again October 2nd to face Crystal City and then home on October 5th for a match against Pearsall. The Arabians record stands at 15-14 after this game. In the Arabians’ district this year is Carrizo Springs, Crystal City, Pearsall, and Hondo.
“We did not play our best tonight, but we were able to still walk away with the win. At times we had some really good plays, but Carrizo did a great job on defense tonight. Our girls had to stay on their toes, ready to go,” said Coach Leigh Anne McIver.
