Arabians scrimmage Hondo

With the Arabians in volleyball playoff and in basketball scrimmages, Devine is cheering all of the Arabians on. Coach Jim Sessions’ team scrimmaged Hondo last week and it looks promising for the team. “Our incoming Freshmen did really well scrimmaging against JV level kids. Our returning kids did some really good things as well. Of course, there has been plenty to work on as well after the scrimmage,” said Coach Sessions.
With improvements made daily in practice, the Arabians have several players stepping up to fill new and expanded positions. “We lost a couple of our top scores from last season due to graduation so we will need kids to step in and fill that role. Honestly, it could take a bit for everyone to get adjusted to their role on the team but I have no doubt that the girls will be willing to step in and make that adjustment. We are also going to have a few younger players up as well so they will need some time to adjust to the pace of play,” added Coach Sessions.
The Arabians will continue to work hard in every practice and will face Lytle on November 16th. The Freshman and JV will head to Pearsall for their first tournament November 18-19th and the Varsity will compete in the Southside Tournament November 18-20th.
