Arabians 2nd, Warhorses 5th at Bandera Relays

Devine High School’s Arabian and Warhorse track teams competed in their second meet of the young season last Thursday in Bandera. The Arabians finished second overall behind champion Fredericksburg while the Warhorses claimed fifth as a team.
Neenah Guerrero’s 25-point performance led the way for the Arabians who tallied 118 overall to finish second among ten teams. Aaliyah Terrazas (23), Avery Cruz (19), Chasity Reyes (18), and Kristina Morales (13) were also big-time point producers for Devine.
Lokey Aguero topped the Warhorses in scoring getting 15 of the 68 total points awarded to Devine. Christian Gerlach (14), Jacob Featherly (10), and Brady Hackebeil (9) were other high-scorers.
“I like what I am seeing out of our veteran runners as well as our up-and-coming freshman,” stated Head Coach Lon Cozby. “We had great competition in Bandera and have some tough meets coming up in Navarro and Wimberley that will help us improve as we inch toward district.”
