Arabian golf putts its way to team championship at Devine Golf Course

Devine’s Arabian golf team captured its first championship plaque of the young season Monday at Devine Golf Course. The Arabians 445 team score was 15 strokes better than second place Somerset who shot a 460. Carrizo Springs finished third with a 462 followed by Crystal City’s 486.
Leading the way for the Arabians was junior Lillie Weyel. Lillie shot a season-low 104 to lead the young Arabian squad. Paige Williamson (112), Sydney Weyel (113), Gracie Ricord (116), and Lillie Steele (119) rounded out the scoring for Devine.
The Arabians also had three medalists hit the links for the first time. Elena Meeks garnered third place overall shooting an incredible 101. Kayley Carrillo (120) and Cali Gierisch (143) also played in their first competition.
