Arabian and Warhorse Track cruise to Devine Invitational championships

Quite a performance put on at Warhorse Stadium last Saturday by the Arabian and Warhorse track athletes. Devine won each varsity division decisively with the Arabians scoring 153 points to easily top second place Bandera who had 118 while the Warhorses scored 178 to more than double runner-up Hondo’s 83 points.
“Our kids showed up ready to go to work at our home track meet,” said Head Coach Lon Cozby. “There was a sense of determination from everyone in all the events. We are at the point in the season where times are starting to drop and everyone is improving in all aspects. There is one more meet before district to fine-tune everything and the overall attitude of Devine Track is great. All the kids have bought into the program, they are excelling, and I believe they have the determination to stay motivated and focused. Our goal is to be our best at the district meet on April 3rd and 4th.”
