Congratulations to senior band member Amy Robinson for earning a chair and advancing in the ATSSB All-State Symphonic Band this past Saturday, January 12, 2019.
The All-State Band concert for the ATSSB Symphonic Band will be at 10:00 am (immediately following the Concert Band) in the Lila Cockrell Theater on Saturday, February 16th! Amy will be attending the TMEA Convention in San Antonio beginning February 13th and rehearse until Saturday the 16th in preparation for the concert.
“This past Saturday, seven Warhorse Band members (including Amy) participated in the ATSSB Area Band auditions in Orange Grove. The auditions included students who had qualified from (5) Regions stretching across south Texas. Amy earned 1st Chair on Bassoon, and only ONE Bassoon could advance to the All-State Band. Woohoo! Congratulations Amy! Go Warhorse Band!” said Jeff W. Miller, MM, Director of Bands, Devine ISD.
