Chester Ray Jones III at age 84 formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 in Devine, Texas.
Chester was born on October 18, 1934 in Corpus Christi, Texas and is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ada Jones; son, Michael Estes; sister, Martha (Maureen) Lorraine Hayes; grandson, Paul Jones; and granddaughter, India Jones.
Chester is survived by his wife Maria (Ria) Johanna Jones; children Ray Jones and wife, Jeanine, Bob Jones, Tracy Courtade and husband, Jim, and Dr. Brian Jones and wife, Lori; Ethel Remmers and husband, Rodney, Ann Chessher and husband, Jerry, Kathleen Winwright and Anita and Albert Estes and wife, Sharon; sister, Sarah (Sally) Elizabeth Gatlin; grandchildren, Danny Jones, Alexander Jones, Lee Ann Tumlinson, George Wooddall, Jillian Courtade, Jamie Courtade, Rozlyn Courtade, Lance Courtade, Harrison Jones, Spencer Jones; Jerry Chessher, Jr., Jimmie Chessher, Savannah Remmers, Nicole Remmers, Heather Remmers, Emily Estes, and Nathan Fulcher; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a rosary recited at 7:00 P.M., Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas. Prayer service will be celebrated Friday, September 13, 2019 at 10:00 A.M., Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas with internment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
