The 8th Grade Maroon Colts won 42-19 versus Pearsall on Wednesday January 22nd in Pearsall. The Colts avoided their normal slow start and were up7 -1 after the first. Extended to 19 – 8 at the half. Used a solid third quarter to be ahead 30-13 at the start of the fourth and then continued to dominate the game finishing with a 42- 19 tally. This was our best complete game effort of the season. Team made adjustments on offense and played very good defense. Team record 8-5.
Ethan Santos 16, Sammy Guardiola 11, Quentin Sanders 6, Makhi Burford-Zawarieh 5, Brandon Martinez 2, Adrian Beltran 1, Josiah Martinez 1. Played but did not score Adrian Gutierrez and Jonathon Weinkam.
The Colts will play at home tomorrow night against Carrizo Springs and then on the road to Pearsall for their final game.
