The 7th grade team traveled to Marion to face off against the Bulldogs for their opening matchup of the season. The B team had a tough loss but held their own. The final score was 12 – 5.
Scoring for the Lady Mustangs was Sarai Covarrubias – 2, Mercedez Luna – 2, and Makayla Rodriguez – 1. “Most of the girls played their first ever Basketball game and I know they will grow leaps and bounds this season.”
The A team took a great first win of the season against the Bulldogs. The final score was 26-10.
