The Filly Gold team hosted Crystal City on Monday night. Strong serving by Savannah Parker (5 points on her serves) and Alisandra Terrazas (9 points on her serves) helped lead the Fillys to victory in set 1, 22-9. In Set two, the Fillys were not as fortunate as they were edged out 19-17 as time expired.
There were some definite spots of improvement for us. The girls were trying to do more and more, but ended up making errors along the way. Sometimes that will cost you points, and we can live with that. I am very proud of how much they have improved overall.
The Fillys will play in Hondo next Monday and then at home against Pearsall on October 21st.
