Anna Cale Harrison, Kourtni Geyer, Airyanna Rodriguez, Jilliyn Guajardo, and Lynn Lawler make up the entire 7th grade Filly Cross Country roster. Those five young ladies are also having one heck of a season on the XC course.
With little to no time actually getting to practice on the home course due to each runner also being active members of the Filly volleyball team, the runners have made great improvement throughout the season and look forward to the District Meet in Devine, on October 16.
Anna Cale finished second place overall with a time of 16:19. Not far behind was Kourtni who finished 5th with a 16:47. Airyanna (7th, 16:55), Jilliyn (10th, 18:00), and Lynn (18th, 18:38) rounded out the scoring for the first place Fillys.
Team rankings: 1st Devine 34, 2nd Pleasanton 36, 3rd Bandera 85, 4th McMullen County 89, 5th Lytle 107.
Up next: District 29-4A Meet at City of Devine Golf Course; 7th Fillys run at 5:00pm.
