Victim reports $11,000 in forged checks; Rattlesnake found at Whataburger

Lytle Police Report….


September 25

7:15 AM – Complainant called the Police Station to speak with an officer in reference to requesting extra patrols.

12:35 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Newton St. to recover contraband. Officer arrived and took possession of the item.

1:10 PM – Officer responded to 18100 Blk. of Lake Wind for a medical alert. Officer arrived and spoke to the resident who stated they were having issues with the new system.

3:19 PM – Officer responded to Great Clips for a report of an unruly customer.

5:35 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Cortez Rd. for and provided a courtesy ride to an adult male.

7:00 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a female who appeared too young to be smoking. After further investigation, it was determined the female was of legal age.

7:40 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Napa Auto for a report of a suspicious male. The male was identified and released.

8:24 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a disturbance between a motorist and his passenger. The complainant stopped the vehicle alongside the roadway and the passenger ripped off the rearview mirror and exited the truck allegedly kicking the side door and fled on foot. Case is under investigation.

11:10 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S to assist Atascosa Co. on a vehicle accident by directing traffic.

September 26

1:35 AM – Officers responded to 19000 Blk. of S. Somerset St. for a report of part of the roadway sinking. Lytle Public Works placed barricades.

4:09 AM – Officer responded to Napa Auto & Truck Parts for an alarm.

1:10 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to report four forged checks from an unknown suspect. Total estimated loss $11,146.00.

4:30 PM – Officer responded to FM 476 at FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with multiple full size livestock on the roadway. Report of multiple vehicles almost hitting livestock.

2:30 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Football Field to assist Medina Co. and Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a 16 YO male who suffered injuries while playing football. The juvenile was transported for treatment.

8:05 PM – Officers responded to 14900 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. One party agreed to leave for the night.

8:58 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a rattlesnake in the parking lot. Officer arrived and was able to contain and dispose of the snake.

September 27

6:09 AM – Officer responded to S. Somerset St. near Rodeo St. and provided a courtesy ride to a female walking in the dark in the rain to her residence.

7:00 AM – Officer responded to 18200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.

11:09 AM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of Sunset Dr. for a residential alarm.

11:16 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for an alarm.

September 28

1:08 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for an alarm.

1:41 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. and provided a courtesy ride to an elderly woman to her daughter’s residence at the Bexar Co. Line.

4:38 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for an alarm.

10:11 AM – Officer responded to Ray’s Taxi for a report of a verbal disturbance between neighbors.

12:20 PM – Traffic stop resulted in the driver’s vehicle being impounded for no insurance, suspended driver’s license, expired registration, fictitious registration.

1:53 PM – Officer responded to South Texas Renal Care for a report of a fire alarm.

3:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.

3:20 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a talk to an officer in reference to her neighbor.

3:45 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Primary School to unlock a vehicle.

5:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.

10:15 PM – Officers responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for an alarm.

September 29

1:19 AM – Officer responded to Chevron to assist Atascosa EMS with an adult male who fell. He was transported by Atascosa EMS for treatment.

9:00 AM – Officer conducted a presentation at the Lytle Primary School for approximately 100 Pre-K students.

9:47 AM – Officers responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a vehicle that was stuck in a ditch. The vehicle was pushed out.

3:45 PM – Officers responded to Community National Bank for a report of fraud. Case under investigation.

9:42 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 NB for a welfare check on a female that was left stranded along the highway after a verbal argument with her boyfriend.

September 30

1:28 AM – Officers responded to John Lott Park for a report of subjects popping fireworks. Officers checked the area locating several subjects. Subjects were counseled on their actions and released.

3:33 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of loud talking and music. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.

3:46 AM – Officer responded to Chevron for a talk to an officer in reference to inappropriate material posted on Facebook. Complainant just wanted the police to be aware of the postings.

10:36 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of S. Somerset St. for a report of Criminal Mischief. It appeared as if a rock was thrown through the back windshield of a parked vehicle.

12:24 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger to talk to an officer in reference to a threat by a customer. Complainant wanted the Lytle Police to be aware of the situation.

2:00 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of Somerset St. for a welfare concern on a dog.

11:30 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a reckless driver. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.

October 1

1:30 AM – Officer responded to 1700 Blk. of FM 2790 to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a disturbance, a loud party. Upon arrival, party was breaking up and the resident was cautioned relating the noise.

2:45 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at Lucky Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy as he conducted a traffic stop.

12:08 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesar’s P-Lot for a report of a toddler left alone in a white minivan. Officer was unable to locate.

1:06 PM – Officer responded to CVS Pharmacy for a two vehicle crash.

5:35 PM – Officer responded to 20000 Blk. of Hyde Park for a report of a natural gas line that was hit and was now leaking. Officer located a broken valve that could not be shut off. CPS Energy was contacted and replaced the cut off valve.

5:42 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of Blume Dr. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.

6:42 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of StarCross Trail to assist Atascosa Co. EMS with a patient who had fallen.
