On December 2, 2020 at about 9:00 PM, Medina County Sheriff’s Department responded to 911 calls for a male subject lying in a field on Lower LaCoste Road (CR 4713), possibly shot.
“At this location just south of Castroville, we observed a deceased male lying in a plowed field. The male subject was identified and found to be 16 years old. The 16 year old male had what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the throat area,” a press release stated. “By about 2:30AM, our crime scene investigation had revealed a possible suspect.”
On the 3rd of December, Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the 16 year old male had died from a single gunshot wound.
“On the 4th of December at about 5:45AM, we executed a search warrant at in Bexar County. At this location, we detained an 18 year old male subject and collected evidence tying Garcia to the location and the shooting of the 16 year old male,” the press release stated.
The male subject was charged with Murder.
