Warhorse XC readies for District 29-4A

The Warhorse Cross Country team had its final tune-up prior to the District 29-4A Meet in Devine on Wednesday, October 16. Runners improved their time from the previous Devine Invitational and look forward to getting one or two or the whole team to Regional in Corpus on October 28.
Chris Ortiz paced Devine with a 20:13 time that was good enough for 11th place of 66 runners. Xavier Garza who has been the top finisher in each of the previous seven meets for Devine had to pull out of the race at the midpoint due to a nagging injury.
