Fourth Grade Veterans Day Concert Nov. 9th
The fourth graders at Devine Intermediate have been hard at work planning a concert to honor our veterans. The fourth grade Veterans Day concert will be held Thursday, November 9th at the Devine Intermediate gym at 6:00pm. The fourth graders would like to invite all veterans in our community to attend.
Veterans Day Ceremony

The annual Veterans Day Ceremony in Natalia Texas will be held on Saturday, November 11th, 2023 at 11:00 am in front of the Veterans Memorial Monument. A full ceremony will be presented to give tribute to Veterans of all United States of America Services. Nine (9) new names will be added to the monument this year. We hope everyone will come out and join us in our Annual Event.
We will be hosting representatives from Devine Current Events Club – who are involved with Wreaths Across America at the Ceremony. Ms Linda Kreinhop and Ms Martha Wall will be available to provide information and sell the wreaths that will be layed on the graves at Evergreen and St Joesph‘s cemetery before Christmas.
Devine VFW Post 3966 to host Veterans Day Golf Tournament
Celebrate Veterans Day this year by grabbing your clubs and coming out to the Devine Golf Course on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Devine Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3966 will host this tournament. Registration starts at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the eleventh month on the 105th anniversary of the armistice that ended World War One. In other words, registration is at 11:00 AM, on November 11th and the firing line starts at noon (a shotgun start at 12:00pm). Entry fees are $100 per person or $400 for a 4-man team. Entry includes green fee, shared cart, lunch and two drinks. $10 mulligans are available (limit 2).
First place team prize is $1000. Second place team wins $600 and third place team wins $400.
Sponsorship opportunities include the “Officer Package” for $1000. It covers a 4-man team, hole sponsorship, logo on sponsor banner and advertisement at all VFW sponsored events, including weekly Bingo.
The “NCO Package” is $700 and includes a 4-man team, hole sponsorship and Logo on sponsor banner.
A “Hole Sponsor” can be purchased for $100 by anyone wishing to support the VFW.
Proceeds from this event will support Post 3966 and local organizations by helping to pay for repairs and expenses of our Post home, aka the Green Alamo.
