The Arabians played against McMullen County on September 12th and Fredericksburg on September 15th. They won both games.
Arabians vs. McMullen
They won in three games; 25-11, 25-9, and 25-8. Offensively, they scored 15 aces; Makenna Morales 5, Alissa Stehle 4, Addie Trojanowski 2, Sydney Rendon 1, Julie Ortiz 1, Chesney Friesenhahn 1, and Amanda Richardson 1. They had 27 kills; Trojanowski 11, Friesenhahn 5, Sierra Pompa 5, Caimee Fowler 2, Megan Runyan 2, Stehle 1, and Richardson 1. Assisting was Trojanowski with 11, Rendon had 9, Morales and Friesenhahn each with 1.
With the only block of the night was Friesenhahn. They had a total of 22 digs; Morales 11, Stehle 3, Friesenhahn 3, Runyan 2, Rendon 2, and Elizabeth Puente 1.
“We came into this match with goals we wanted to achieve and I think the girls blew them out of the water,” Coach Leigh Anne McIver said. “They stayed aggressive the whole time and kept their focus.”
Arabians vs. Fredericksburg
They played five games winning three; 25-18, 15-25, 22-25, 26-24, and 15-6. Scoring 5 aces were Trojanowski 3, Morales 1, and Puente 1. They had 41 kills; Pompa 13, Friesenhahn 12, Troajanowski 10, Stehle 3, Runyan 2, and Dana Aaron 1. Two girls helped with assists; Troajnowski 26 and Rendon 11.
Defensively, they scored 5 blocks; Friesenhahn 4 and Trojanowski 1. They had 81 digs; Morales 30, Friesenhahn 13, Trojanowski 10, Rendon 10, Pompa 6, Ortiz 5, Puente 3, Stehle 2, Aaron 1, and Runyan 1.
“This was a great win for us,” Coach McIver said. “The girls really pulled together and played like a team and at the level they know they can perform at.”
