Education/Experience: Holds master peace officer license, with experience in both civil and criminal law. More than 29 years as an elected constable in Atascosa County.

David Soward

Education/Experience: Graduate of Pleasanton HS and Law Enforcement Academy. Master Peace Officer and Master Jailers license. 45 years experience in all phases of law enforcement. Eight years as sheriff. Founded Atascosa County Crime Stoppers. Served on Little League Board, former president of Athletic Booster Club. Five-time president of Atascosa Co. Law Enforcement Association. Pleasanton Lion’s Club.
Priorities: “Continue to lead this agency’s experienced and trained staff in an effective and ethical manner and foster development in a staff that will serve Atascosa County to the highest degree, far into the future. I stand for law and order. I’ll protect our citizens and property and defend our Constitution.”
