Teresa C. Gaffney, formerly of Devine, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at home surrounded by family after her battle with cancer.
Teresa is survived by her two sons and one daughter, Jose and Jessica Perez of San Antonio, Carlos and Rita Perez of Arlington, Texas, and Maria Speaks of New Haven, Connecticut. She has 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one due in January.
Teresa was born March 23, 1944 in Salem, New Jersey to Edith Ezlise and John Frances Gaffney, where she lived until moving to New England to raise her own family. She retired to Texas in 1991, where she lived in Devine for nearly 20 years.
Most of her life she worked as a private provider and was an active member of her church. She loved bingo and spending time with her little dog. Her greatest joy was being around her family, friends, and grandchildren.
She was a simple woman, and one of the sweetest ladies you could ever come across. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved and cared for. She will be sorely missed by all.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 11 at 2:00 pm at her church, Bethel Assembly of God, 200 N. Teel Dr., Devine, Texas.
