On Wednesday, April 4th, the high school district was held in Jourdanton and 8 athletes and 2 teams have advanced to area. The varsity boys team earned 71 points and brought home 4th place overall while the varsity girls team earned 4th points and 6th place. Cole won 1st place for both boys and girls. Advancing to area is Ray Rizo and Diego Zapata for the 100M Dash, Julien Almendarez 800M Run, Jared Stallworth 300M Hurdles, Uriel Arellano Discus, Marcus Peres and Dustin Richardson High Jump, and Matt Contreras for Pole Vault. The 4x100M and 4x400M relay teams have also advanced.
Area will be held April 18th at Converse Judson.

Varsity Girls Results: 4x200M Relay – 5th Samantha Stallworth, Hailey Manka, Kamryn, and Mia Sanchez 2:03.61.
The Junior Varsity boys and girls also competed last week and the boys brought home 6th with 43 points and the girls 6th with 10 points.
JV Boys Results: 200M Dash – 6th Felix Inugez 26.54; 4x100M Relay – 5th Bartolo Gregorio, Felix Inugez, Jacob Navarro, and Saul Valdez 49.89; 4x200M Relay – 4th Falen Villareal, Felix Inugez, Saul Valdez, and Jacob Navarro 1:51.15; Long Jump – 1st Felix Inugez 17’2.5” and 5th Jacob Navarro 16’ 0”; Shot Put – Paul Billalobos 32’ 11”; Discus – 1st Jeremiah Gomes 96’ 2”; High Jump – 3rd Jacob Navarro 5’ 2”.
JV Girls Results: 300M Hurdles – 5th Adriana Calvillo 1”09.97 and Triple Jump – Adriana Calvillo 24’ 11.5”.
