Techapalooza comes to Devine ISD to help teachers

Intermediate school teacher Amy Byrd participates in a session.

Devine ISD hosted on Tuesday, August 11, online classes in which 185 members of Devine ISD’s instructional staff participated in a full day of virtual synchronous technology professional development from their individual classrooms, “Techapalooza”.
More than 30 unique sessions were offered, and these covered specific features of Google Apps, Chrome Extensions, Google Classroom, and other instructional technology sites and tools; sessions on how to prep and teach a lesson online from the start to the finish; and sessions on Google Meet and how to record lessons.
Staff members were able to register for their choices (based on their individual needs) in advance.
Sessions were prepped and facilitated by DISD’s very own teachers.
