Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas released their first state poll of 2022. The Lytle Pirates and Lady Pirates made quite the impression after last year’s 3rd and 4th place finishes in their respective classifications.
Prior to Lytle lacing up running shoes for their first meet of the season last Saturday in Floresville, CCCAT put the Pirates at second in the state ranks behind Eustace. Jim Ned, Brownsville IDEA Frontier Prep, Whitesboro, Presidio, McGregor, Boyd, Cameron Yoe, and Crane round out the top 10.
The Lady Pirates come in at six behind Holliday, Lorena, Poth, Whitesboro, and Canadian. Crane, McGregor, Yoakum, and Paradise finish out the seven through ten slots.
