Sebera Cadena Reyes Morales, age 97 of La Coste, passed away on November 23, 2017 at her home. She was born February 1, 1920 in Bexar County, one of seven children of Zaragosa and Teodora Ramirez Cadena.
Sebera worked on the family farm while taking care of the family home and her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Abelino Reyes and Gerardo Morales; sons, Anselmo Reyes, an infant son and Delfino Reyes; brothers, Jesus Cadena and Simon Cadena; sisters, Luisa R. Cadena and Carolina Mata.
Survivors include her son, Abelino Reyes; daughters, Amelia Reyes of Vidalia, Georgia, Abelia Lombard of Plano, Margarita “Margie” (Juan) Martinez of La Coste, Isabel Gonzales of La Coste; sisters, Paula Cadena of La Coste, Maria Cadena of La Coste; sister-in-law, Socorro Tapia Cadena of La Coste; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery.
