“Santa’s Hayride” around town back on this year, set for Saturday, Dec. 4 in Lytle

The City of Lytle will have their traditional Santa Hayride event this year, where participants go on a special ride around town to look at all of the beautiful Christmas lights.
The event will be hosted on this Saturday, December 4, starting at 6:00 pm at the Lytle Community Center.
Santa will arrive at the Lytle Community Center at 6:00 pm to light the Christmas Tree and lights at the Center. Santa will then accompany everyone on the hayride. Admission is one canned good or $1.00.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to go on Santa’s Hayride.
Light refreshments will be served.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Santa will not be taking pictures.
The City of Lytle is one of the best-decorated in the area, and all are encouraged and welcomed to this event sponsored by the Lytle Tourism Department. The Christmas decorations are judged prior to the hayride and the winners are honored for helping make Lytle a fabulous Christmas Land full of all kinds of beautiful decorations all over town and for helping spread Christmas Cheer.
You can see Santa and snowmen at the City Hall; snowmen at Dollar General; Yoda across from Dollar General; Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse across from City Hall. There are a lot of snowmen throughout the city along with several Santas, deer, Christmas trees, etc. Pigs in front of the Gidley house and hippos in the backyard. Yoda is also at the Gidley house. Rudolph and friends all around town along with Misfit Island at the City Hall. You can see an array of animals at the Animal Control Facility that includes the Geiko gecko, Garfield the cat, Hello Kitty, and Scooby Doo etc. You will find many other decorations as well as a Nativity scenes at residences throughout the city, sometimes even a live nativity scene.
The City of Lytle staff, council, mayor, businesses, chamber, schools and residents work together to put on a beautiful Christmas display throughout town and the neighborhoods for the Lytle Tourism Event. Drive through any day or night and enjoy or join the Hayride this Saturday.
