Rosie Martinez Kutch

Rosie Martinez Kutch, of Lytle, TX went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022, at the age of 92.
Rosie was born on August 27, 1929, the last of eight children born to Hermenegildo and Matilde Martinez.
Rosie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, and was a member of the church’s Guadalupana Society serving as President for almost 20 years. She started the first “Angel Tree” project in Lytle, providing gifts for children at Christmas time.
Rosie worked most of her adult life at several places starting with Blume Café, and then Gebhardt Company, the San Antonio Sock Factory, Kelly AFB, the Nix Hospital, the Baptist Hospital, the State Hospital and lastly, from 1988 to 2003, the Lytle Nutrition Center.
Rosie enjoyed many things in her lifetime such as traveling to visit family, watching her grandkids’ performances, playing bunco, bingo, line dancing and, of course, traveling to Las Vegas, WinStar, and Kickapoo.
Rosie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Kutch; her son-in- law, Juan J. Garcia Sr.; her parents, Hermenegildo and Matilde Martinez and all her brothers and sisters.
Rosie is survived by her children Nora Garcia, Charles Anthony Kutch (wife Helen), Debra Sue Hernandez and Cheryl Duckworth (husband Allen); her 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home, 14822 Main Street, Lytle, TX 78052. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 12:45 pm at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 14831 Main Street, Lytle, TX 78052. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio,TX 78209.
