Roger Arlen Lockhart, 73, of Devine, TX, passed away on November 18, 2017.
Roger was born in Ohio on January 28, 1944, to William and Dorothy Lockhart. He worked in advertising and then decided to return to school and receive his teaching degree.
Roger and wife Barbara of 27 years were married February 2, 1990.
Roger was a beloved teacher for Devine ISD for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Spurs basketball, listening to talk radio, watching classic Westerns, and spending time with family and friends.
Roger is survived by his wife Barbara; children Melanie (Kevin) Farrar, Roger (Wendy) Lockhart of Ohio, Neva (Kevin) Mann and Ryan Pruitt of Devine; grandchildren Michael and Stevie Lockhart of Florida, Mandie, Mariah and Markie Foden, Arlen and William Lockhart all of Ohio, Reece and Dakota Mann, Kaitlyn (Shannon) Carouth, and Justine Yglesias all of Texas; great-grandchildren Nylah (Mariah), Tre (Mandie), and Huntyr (Kaitlyn); brothers Jerry (Joe) Lockhart, Blair (Ruth) Lockhart, Mark (Carla) Lockhart all of Texas, Scott (Cindy) Lockhart and sister Ivaloe Patterson of Ohio; mother-in-law Alma Boenig; sisters-in-law Sharon Aguilar and Leanna (John) Steuber, as well as numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.
Roger is preceded in death by parents William and Dorothy Lockhart, brothers Richard and David Lockhart, father-in-law Robert Boenig, and brother-in-law Mark Aguilar.
