Retirement celebration for Brenda Gardner on May 27, honoring 48 years of dedication to DISD

Please join us to Celebrate the retirement of Brenda T. Gardner on May 27th from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the John J. Ciavarra Elementary Library, 112 N. Bentson, Devine, Texas.

Brenda Gardner has dedicated her entire career to the the Devine Community and is well respected for her leadership, kindness and dedication to her career, family, and community.

In lieu of gifts, a donation to support the Dollars for Scholars or the Devine Education Foundation is kindly appreciated.
Brenda is currently the Principal of Ciavarra Elementary. She has been in education for 48 years, and dedicated all of it to the Devine Independent School District and Devine community where she and her husband Jim raised their two sons, Jimmy and Jason.

Gardner served as an English and Journalism teacher for many years before becoming an academic dean at the high school (a combination of AP and academic counselor). Next, stepping into assistant principal roles at the intermediate and elementary, then as the elementary principal.
A true leader in everything she is a part of, always giving of herself and her time to make life better for others.
Gardner will truly be missed on campus, but has already taken on a new project and the reigns of the newly formed foundation, Devine Education Foundation.
