Reading Club for students K, 1st, and 2nd Grad to be offered @ the Driscoll Public Library

Does your child need a little help with reading or writing? If so they will be a perfect fit for the new club at the Driscoll Public Library. The club will be meeting Thursdays @ 4:15 pm and will be conducted by retired teacher/library aide, Marilyn Buffington. The first meeting will be Thursday, January 30th, 2020.
Marilyn will be using her lifetime experience as an elementary teacher/counsellor to conduct “club” activities that will focus on reading and writing. Each week there will be structured activities utilizing both computer (ABC Mouse) activities and personalized instruction.
It is the hope of the library to provide a club that will be instructional but also to make reading “fun” and provide an avenue to build a love of reading and writing. This club will also help to establish what we hope will be a lifetime knowledge of library use.
There is no fee and participants need not have library cards. We will provide information on becoming a member of the library so the children can borrow reading materials.
