Meet Lily Dana Salinas, a four-year-old ray of sunshine from San Antonio, Tx. Lily brings a smile to the face of every person she meets. She is a proud big sister, and the oldest daughter of Chris Salinas and Taylor Ayers.
Many of you may know Chris from his country music band, Chris Salinas and the Wild Grass Band. You may also know Lily grandparents, Eloy and Cindy Salinas, and great-grandparents, Angie Solano and Alma Salinas from Devine and Pearsall.
On March 29, Lily was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, where she began treatment the very next day. Amidst unforgiving chemotherapy treatment, Lily has been an inspiration to those around her with her care-free demeanor that she has maintained during this time that gives her family hope.
Many have asked how they can help; therefore, Lily’s family is having a chicken and sausage plate sale on Saturday, April 21 at the St. Joseph Church pavilion from 11:00 am till 3:30 pm. Plates are $8.00, and include all the trimmings and a drink.
Pre-sale tickets are available. You may contact Denton or LaHoma Alvarez at 210-322-0769 and 210-998-0739. Tickets are also available at Pleasanton Finance Co. in Devine; please ask for Mary.
Thank you for all the prayers and support!
