Pirate Basketball is back!

Pirate Basketball is back!! The Pirates are still playing football and finishing up volleyball but Coach Jacob Hernandez and Coach Lori Wilson are ready to get their teams back on the court. This will be an exciting basketball season for all of Lytle.
With six retuning varsity players including Sophomore Calyssa Sevier, Junior Fizz Hutton, Junior Cadee Martinez, Sophomore Kataria Whitefield, Senior Nicole Godines and Senior Sophia Hutton, Coach Wilson has a strong starting point for her team. “We will add some new faces to the Varsity roster to replace an amazing senior class we lost. We will play a tough pre-season like always to test our talents and be ready for district play. Go Pirates!” adds Coach Wilson. The Lady Pirates will scrimmage in Uvalde this Saturday and then in Pearsall on November 2nd. Their first home game will be against La Vernia on November 9th.
The Pirates will have their first scrimmage on November 6th against Burbank with location and date not set. Their first home game will be November 16th against Stockdale. Coach Hernandez looks to improve on last season’s district record of 6-8. District starts for the Pirates on December 14th against Natalia.
