Parker Odis “Junior” Thompson, Jr. of Castroville, passed away on April 23, 2018 in San Antonio, at the age of 75 years. He was born May 26, 1942 in Austin, Texas, the son of Parker Odis Thompson and Dorothy Faulkner Thompson.“Junior” was a diesel mechanic, owner and operator of Junior’s Truck Service since 1982.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Ann Thompson; wife, Carolyn McKee Thompson; three of his children, Norma Jean Thompson, Anna Thompson Dixon and Ronnie Wayne Thompson, and one of his brothers, Shelton Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara McKee of Castroville; children, David Thompson (Alicia), Alan Thompson (Michelle), Robert Thompson (Elizabeth), all of San Antonio, Jason Thompson of Sutherland Springs, Terry Lynn Thompson (Danny Moczygemba) of San Antonio; three sisters, Kathy Thompson, Lois Miles, and Julie Lewis; six brothers, Frankie, Gary, Lloyd, Willis, Terry and Larry Thompson; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at Castroville Community Cemetery.
