Natalia Police Report June 30-July 7


June 30
7:50 PM – Officer responded to the 2300 blk. of CR 770 about an active fire. Officer arrived on location along with Devine VFD. Officer stood by directing traffic while the fire department put out a vehicle that was on fire. Officer later cleared the scene and went back in service.
July 1
4:50 PM – Officer responded to the 400 blk. of Bartlett St. about someone shooting a BB gun. Officer arrived on location and spoke to the complainant and he informed the officer someone had shot his front windshield with what appears to be with two BB’s, leaving the window cracked. There were no suspects named at that time. Officer collected his information and cleared the scene.
July 2
7:16 AM – Officer responded to Heather Hollow to assist with unlocking a vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked and the complainant was very grateful. Officer cleared the scene.
12:35 PM – Officer responded to Love’s Truck Stop about reporting a stolen gun. Officer spoke to the victim and the victim stated he works at Love’s and parked his Jeep in front of the gas pumps and that someone went into his Jeep, taking his semi-automatic 9MM SCCY model CPX-2 during his shift. Officer collected all the information and had the gun entered as stolen.
July 3
6:50 PM – Officer responded to IH-35 N. about a gold cab 18-wheeler swerving and running a vehicle off the road. Officer was able to locate the truck tractor and observed the truck, then pulling it over, making contact with the driver. The driver appeared to be fine and was given a warning on his driving.
July 4
6:00 PM – Officers responded to Wendy’s. Officer received information that a silver Dodge Charger was reported stolen and was parked on the property. Officer went and confronted three males who were trying to start the car, but didn’t know the car was reported stolen. The owner of the car was called and went to pick it up. Officer collected all his information and case is pending.
11:35 PM – Officers responded to the 100 blk. of 9th St. about a disturbance. Officer escorted a male subject outside who was being very loud and aggressive to the officer. Officer went to place handcuffs on the subject and started to fight with both officers. The officers were able to get control over the suspect and place him under arrest for resisting arrest. Officer took the suspect to jail without further incident.
July 5
2:30 AM – Officer responded to FM 471 S. and the railroad tracks in Natalia about a male wearing a black shirt on the railroad tracks. Officer arrived and could see a male on his knees slumped forward and appeared to be deceased from obviously being struck by a moving train. Officers and Union Pacific investigators were called out to investigate the scene. Case pending.
July 6
8:32 AM – Officer responded to the 2500 blk. of Hwy. 132 N. about a one car crash. Officer arrived on location and assessed the damages and injuries. The driver was fine, given a citation for no driver’s license, and had her vehicle towed away due to damages.
July 7
9:13 PM – Officer responded to the 600 blk. of 7th St. about a civil matter. Officer made contact with the caller and stated their son didn’t want to listen to them and wanted money for no apparent reason. Officer was unable to speak to the son, because he had taken off walking from the house prior to the officer’s arrival. Officer advised the parents to call the police department if they needed further assistance.
