Natalia Police Report July 20-25


July 20
8:12 PM – Officer responded to the 400 blk. of Bright St. in Devine to assist Devine PD with a call. Officer arrived on location and stood by while Devine PD searched a vehicle and found a loaded gun and marijuana inside the car. All suspects were transported to the Devine PD and later to the Medina County Jail.
10;15 PM – Officer responded to the 300 blk. of Crescent Dr. about an abandoned bicycle left on the side of the road. Officer collected the bike and recorded all information off the bike. Officer generated a report and secured the bike at the police department.
July 24
12: 36 PM – Officer received a phone call of a lapsed burglary of a building off of Flores St. Officer spoke to the victim who was not present to meet the officer at the location. Officer gathered all information and put the location on a close patrol.
1:03 PM – Officer responded to the 18000 blk. of FM 471 S. about criminal mischief to a vehicle. Officer spoke to the victim and she advised someone had sliced her back right passenger tire while she was inside Dollar General. Unknown suspect at this time.
3:16 PM – Officer responded to the 200 blk. of CR 6815 about a disturbance. Officers arrived on location and the aggressor had already left the scene intoxicated driving a blue Dodge Charger. The female returned to the property angry cursing at police officers to exit her property. Deputies took over the scene and had the female go to her residence for the afternoon. No further action taken.
9:00 PM – Officer responded to the 800 blk. of Bennet St. about a verbal disturbance. Officer arrived on location and made contact with the complainant. Officer was advised he let a homeless occupy a room in his trailer and had been drinking and arguing very loud. Officer spoke to both parties and they were already in bed and they were not arguing when officer arrived. Officer determined there was no offense committed, gathered all information and cleared the scene.
July 25
2:48 AM – Officer responded to the 700 blk. of Palfrey St. about a medical emergency. Officer arrived on scene and there was a female in her ninth month of pregnancy whose water broke and needed to go to the hospital. EMS arrived on scene and transported her to Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio.
10:23 AM – Officers responded to the 700 blk. of Palfrey St. about a medical emergency. Officers arrived on scene and EMS shortly after to assess male subject for a possible heart attack. The patient was taken to Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio.
2:46 PM – Officer responded towards Devine on IH-35 N. to assist with a vehicle that almost hit five vehicles coming from the Pearsall area. The car was stopped at mile marker 124 northbound by DPS, Medina County Sheriff’s Office and Devine PD. Officer arrived on scene briefly and observed the driver was in custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Officer cleared the scene.
8:33 PM – Officer responded to the Town and Country trailer park about an assault. Officer arrived on scene and spoke to the victim. The victim stated his baby daddy came over from San Antonio to visit with his daughter. When it was time for the estranged husband punched the victim in the back of her head while she was holding the baby. The suspect was charged with assault by contact.
10:11 PM – Officer responded to the 200 blk. of 9th St. about a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and made contact with a male subject who was involved with the disturbance. Officer spoke to both parties who are currently separated and that the father got angry at his estranged wife for disciplining their eldest child who is 12 years old. Officer later determined there was no physical assault. The wife and three children left the residence and the dad stayed at the house alone.
