With an eight team district, district play started early this season to be able to get all of the required games in. Natalia opened with a loss to Jourdanton 0-3 but recovered their week with a big win over Somerset 3-2. They will also face Poth, Karnes City, Poteet, Lytle, Dilley Cotulla, and West Campus from San Antonio.
Against Jourdanton on Tuesday night, the Lady Mustangs could not break the Squaws’ defense and fell 19-25, 19-25, and 18-25.

It was a big win for Natalia on Friday night over Somerset. Somerset won the first match 25-23 but Natalia came back and won the second match 25-11. The third win would go to Somerset at 25-22 but again Natalia bounced back to win the fourth 25-23. In the final match it was just as close but Natalia fought hard and won it 15-13.

The Lady Mustangs faced Cotulla last night and will be on the road to West Campos on Friday. They will be at home next Tuesday with Crystal City on Tuesday and in Poteet on Friday.
